Brookside Lofts,  4100 Vernon Avenue, St. Louis Park

Originally built in 1924 as an elementary school, Brookside Lofts has been transformed into a comfortable and modern living space.  The units have individual floor layouts that maximally utilize a two-story space; for instance, some contain 12-foot ceilings while others have true lofts.  The premier space – the former kindergarten classroom – boasts a double-height bow window.  Units are spacious and contain hardwood floors.  Brookside Lofts is located one block from Excelsior Boulevard (where frequent bus service into Downtown can be found), and offers easy access to Highway 100 where a new sound wall had just been built to buffer traffic noise.  Within walking distance from the building are boutique shops, a variety of restaurants, a first-run movie theater, the Miracle Mile, and the Medcenter health-care complex.
