Marketplace Lofts, 750 Mainstreet, Hopkins
Until the 1950s, Hopkins was a freestanding town with a distinct self-identity, before being overrun by postwar metropolitan growth. Over the past decade, downtown Hopkins has once again emerged as a distinct environment, supported by a critical mass of downtown housing, restaurants, retail, antiques, movies, and a new performing arts center. In fact, this is one of the few neighborhoods where you can walk to buy a new car. Marketplace Lofts is among the most recent downtown Hopkins housing, a soft paean to the New Urbanism ideal of mixed-use domesticity. Living units range in size from compact to spacious, relatively inexpensive in price
