This solid brick warehouse seems to have be styled after Florentine palazzos, complete with simulated machicolations—the upper overhanging ports which allowed inhabitants to pour boiling oil down on attackers. Fortunately, contemporary life in Minneapolis is less-stressful than was fifteenth-century Florence, and the building was converted in 2000 into condos.
